Usage

How to use
  1. Prepare a diluted solution with 2% to 6% concentration in the recirculation tank.
  2. Mix thoroughly, set the recirculation tank temperature at    10 °C – 12 °C.
  3. When automatic volume dosing device is in use, set at 3% to start.

For Best Result
  • Distilled or purified water is recommended for bet result.
  • Nikken fountain solution incorporates a good amount of anti-foam agent. However, foaming may still occur due to running dampening solution either at high temperature or with contamination in recirculation tank.
  • It is recommended that recirculation tank be clean, chilled, and maintained properly around 10°C -12°C.
  • Both of ink and water setting with Nikken Fountain Solution will differ from those which you had with your previous fountain solutions. Start run with lower ink coverage (thinner ink film) and reduced dampening if necessary.
  • Fountain concentration (dosage) greater than specified may decrease ink density or cause over-emulsification. If ink over-emulsification occurs, reduce the dosage.
  • To prevent ink feedback or build-up on the metering rollers, we strongly recommend that dampening rollers be properly cleaned and maintained with a fine quality cleaner such as Nikken MOIST CLEAN HF (or Nikken AQUA CONTROL) and Nikken CHROME ROLLER CLEAN and DESENSITIZER.
  • To prevent ink roller stripping, use a water-miscible cleaner such as Nikken BLAN WASH and decalcify rollers occasionally with deglazer and conditioner such as Nikken GLAZE BUSTER (or Nikken ROLLER AID).
